About Institute

Al Amanah Academy is Sylhet’s pioneering Integrated Islamic School, founded on a distinctive vision: to nurture minds, shape character, and inspire a generation grounded in the Qur’an while prepared for the world. Our educational philosophy brings Hifzul Qur’an and the National Curriculum (English Version) into one thoughtfully integrated learning journey. Islamic values are woven into the curriculum and the wider life of the school, enabling students to pursue academic excellence while developing faith, character, discipline, critical thinking, and a strong sense of purpose. We believe that true education goes beyond the acquisition of knowledge. It should cultivate the mind, heart, character, and potential of every child—preparing them to become confident learners, principled individuals, and responsible future leaders. At Al Amanah Academy, Deen and Dunya are not separate paths; they are part of one purposeful journey. We aspire to provide an intellectually stimulating, spiritually enriching, and nurturing environment where students grow with the Qur’an in their hearts, knowledge in their minds, excellence in their pursuits, and service in their purpose. Our vision is simple yet ambitious: to raise a generation of faith-inspired, intellectually accomplished, morally grounded, and globally capable Muslims who are ready to make a meaningful difference in their communities and beyond. Knowledge. Character. Faith. Excellence.

Educational institutions play a vital role in both individual and social life. An Islamic school is highly significant because it: - Provides an environment where Muslim children can learn and practice Islam. - Teaches culture and values alongside mental resilience, which enhances and accelerates their learning in general academic fields like mathematics, science, language, and the arts. - Instills a strong sense of connection to the Muslim Ummah, fostering a mindset to not only preserve their rich Islamic heritage but also actively contribute to the development and progress of the global Muslim community.

An institution being Islamic or conventional has no correlation with academic loss or gain. We all know that many conventional schools, despite having a great reputation, fail to provide moral education, strict discipline, or good behavior. The quality of education depends on the individual institution and its commitment to excellence. Our curriculum follows an integrated approach, which is designed to provide general education while aiming to help most students become a Hafez or Hafeza of the Quran. We believe that an Islamic school must ensure that: - Academic programs are of high quality, or at least equivalent to the good conventional schools around them. - Teachers are professionally trained and possess Islamic character. If these two conditions are met, then it is certain that the effectiveness of an Islamic school will be no less than that of any reputed school with a conventional curriculum. This is because all other elements of a good school are automatically present within an Islamic environment. Characteristics of a good school are: - Teachers are sincere in creating and implementing their lesson plans. - Teachers are enthusiastic about their students. - Teachers make classes engaging by utilizing the best of science and technology. - Curriculum is diverse, incorporating Islamic integration. - Discipline is maintained. - Good student-teacher relationships exist. - Appropriate use of modern educational materials. - Classroom activities are conducted according to an ideal student-teacher ratio.

Everyone here is required to study Hifzul Quran along with general education. The purpose of our Hifz program is to ensure that every student can memorize the Quran correctly and accurately. * Play Group – Students of Nursery and KG classes will be taught to read the Quran correctly and will memorize the Ampara (Para 30). * For those who want to memorize the entire Quran, arrangements will be made to complete the Hifz of all 30 Paras by integrating it with academic (general) education. * For those who are unable to memorize 30 Paras, or do not wish to memorize the whole Quran, arrangements will be made to teach them correct Quran recitation and ensure the memorization of at least 5 Paras. * Later in the secondary level classes, arrangements will be made for basic Arabic grammar, Tafsir study, and Islamic Studies classes to help them comprehend the meaning and understand the Quran, In-sha-Allah.

The Quran was revealed in the Arabic language. Allah Subhanahu-wa-Ta'ala says, "Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Quran that you might understand." For Muslims, having knowledge of the original language of revelation is very important.

We have the same national curriculum as regular schools. We have designed our curriculum focusing on learning English and Arabic languages so that a student, along with memorizing the Quran, is able to comprehend its true essence.

Our co-curricular activities aim for the full development of personal skills, creating enthusiasm, and fostering talent. In this regard, we emphasize sports, science, life skills, public speaking, as well as activities that strengthen children's Islamic education, such as Quran journaling.

There is a fine integration of the curriculum with our school's Islamic principles and values. Every syllabus of ours is integrated with Islamic knowledge. Therefore, rather than being a separate subject, it will guide teaching, learning, and behavior. Children will learn about the entire curriculum and be enriched in knowledge and conduct by guest speakers—this is our plan.

There will be 12–16 students in each class.

Our school uniforms are smart and comfortable, helping students develop a sense of belonging and identity. Our School Dress Code Student __ Uniform Boys Pants, shirt, tie, white shoes Girls Salwar kameez, frock, hijab, black shoes
